Knights Heating Kenilworth is operated by Ed Hughes with a background of over 40 years experience in the domestic heating and plumbing industry. We are a family-run company based on providing an honest, reliable and competitive service in the Coventry and Warwickshire area. All work is carried out to the highest standards and to Gas Safe regulations. 

HEATING
We install, maintain and upgrade any type of domestic central heating system. Ranging from a modern pressurised central heating system to 30 year old open vented system, we cover it all. Whether it is a leaking radiator valve or a full new build installation we have it covered! If you have an ongoing issue we can also monitor this and advise you on the best course of action to take.
PLUMBING
We cover all aspects of Plumbing. Whether it’s an emergency call out, or as simple as a dripping tap, bathroom alterations, a dog bath, power shower installations, kitchen alterations including washing machines or dishwashers - we can do it all. Sometimes a simple leak which can be easily rectified can cause damage to your house, flooring or belongings, a leak can also leave green watermarks in a bathroom aging the installation unnecessarily so it is always best to get it dealt with as soon as you find a problem. 
BOILERS
We fit a wide range of boilers (all Sedbuk A rated) to tailor to your needs and we can give you advice on brands and boiler types. If you require a boiler upgrade and are leaving your existing pipework and radiators in we fit a magnetic filter on the return pipe to the boiler, this helps prevent build up of sludge in your new highly efficient heat exchanger which helps prolong the boilers life expectancy.  We set up your electric controls to suit the environment around you, this ensures you can maintain a comfortable temperature in your home or work place, modern controls are usually remote frequency so this prevents unsightly cables being run around your property. This also means you can use thermostats in the rooms which you actually need them, if you are working from home in a study all day, why have your thermostat in a hall?
GAS SERVICE
Annual servicing of your boiler or natural gas appliance is the safest way to maintain an efficient working appliance within your home or work place. Similar to a car service, it gives us a good understanding of how your appliance is working, annual maintenance also helps increase the life expectancy of your appliance. Sometimes something as simple as an inexpensive boiler seal or a small leak inside the boiler, which would be rectified on an annual appliance service, can mean the appliance has to be replaced due to parts being obsolete, or a small issue turning into a problem which isn’t cost effective to fix. An appliance service can pay for its self if we can resolve a problem before it becomes a major issue. If you wish, we can send you an annual reminder when your service is due.
BATHROOMS

Bathrooms and ensuite bathrooms are used frequently, so we install our sanitary wear to a high NVQ standard, we can offer a full bathroom replacement service or basic bathroom maintenance. A whining toilet when flushed can be taxing and become an issue, especially if it is in the middle of the night. Problems like this can be easily rectified, excessive damp in a bathroom can be reduced by fitting a bathroom fan. We also specialise in adaptive living, sometimes it is not feasible to get into or use a bath or bathroom, we can install an easily accessible shower tray or enclosure, raised toilets and easily accessible basins.

 

#TopTip: We all struggle with turning on and off bath and basin taps especially with wet hands, there are a wide range of quarter turn and leaver taps which makes things a lot easier. 

KITCHENS

A kitchen is very often the centre of a house hold, whether you are a master chef, avid baker or just have hungry children, a kitchen is always well used. We can fully project manage your kitchen installation from start to finish. We work closely with all related trades or suppliers to complete your new kitchen, if you already have this covered we can first and second fix hot and cold pipework, pipe up all existing or new appliances and white goods. We are also Gas Safe Registered, so we can install gas hobs, cookers and range cookers.

TILING

We offer an extensive tiling service, whether it is walls or floors, we cater for anything from a simple splash back in a kitchen to fully tiling a bathroom. We can advise on this but it is a great way for the customer to be creative with their bathroom or kitchen installation. More and more there are alternatives to tiling but it goes without saying that if tiles are installed correctly they will out last a bathrooms sanitary ware, or a kitchens white goods. 

DRAINAGE

Drainage is something that is overlooked at times, however a blocked gutter or down pipe can result in damp areas of your property. General maintenance of the above can mean that you can sit happily inside when the good old British weather takes a turn for the worst knowing that nothing is blocked. In addition, the UV from the sun can bleach the colour out from plastic pipework and replacement of a simple piece of plastic pipe can make all the difference to the front of your house or garden sitting area. We cover all aspects of above ground drainage from plastic soil and waste pipework to removing cast iron soil pipes and replacing with plastic soil pipes. 

LANDLORD SAFETY CERTIFICATES

As a landlord by law it is your duty to supply an annual landlord’s certificate to your tenant or lodger. Along with the points raised above, it gives you piece of mind that your property, appliance and tenants are safe. Having a service at the same time as a landlord’s certificate is a perfect way of annually doing this.

GAS SAFE REGISTERED

At Knights Heating we have specialised in domestic gas work for over 30 years, before gas safe we had Corgi gas registration and in 2009 this was changed to the Gas Safe Registered. This is the official recognised registration body governing the United Kingdom. By law all engineers working with gas must be on the Gas Safe Register. If you go onto the Gas Safe website you can check an engineer, have a look for us.
